Dear Alumni,

Today I am pleased to announce the success of our project CONTRASTE Paris camera bags to go anywhere. Only two weeks after launching our crowdfunding campaign, we achieved the initial goal. It all started 18 months ago.

Passionate about travel and photography, it was during a three-week trip in Japan, between the ascent of Mount Fuji and the discovery of Kyoto's gastronomy that I realized that my camera bag was not suitable for all situations. It was never comfortable enough for a long hike, protective in bad weather and elegant for a dinner in town.

By discussing with more than 1,200 professional photographers in France, Europe and the USA, these weaknesses were confirmed. Since this bag did not exist, I decided to create CONTRASTE.

Therefore, three main technologies have been selected and developed:

- The Shadow Grip canvas uses one of the most efficient coating technologies. Thanks to the superposition of seven waterproof layers, this solution has successfully passed dozens of laboratory and field

tests.

- The interior Velvet Bento system is organised around an empty volume that can be easily split with modular padded dividers. All walls are made of high-density foam to absorb shocks.

- The Shoulder Comfort strap features a soft and breathable cushioned surface. So even a well-filled bag can be worn for several hours. A huge attention has been paid to the comfort and lightness of the bags.

Designed in Paris, the bags are made in European leather workshops with sustainable and vegan materials made in Italy. We have therefore created two formats to meet the needs of photographers:

• The [COMPACT/180mm], ideal for carrying the essentials. It can carry 1 camera, 2-3 lenses as well as your personal belongings.

• The [MESSENGER/290mm], essential for any shooting. It can carry a 16" computer, 1-2 cameras, 3-4 lenses as well as your personal belongings.
